MISSION


To stop, prevent, and heal the effects of domestic violence, sexual assault, stalking, and dating violence in Lemhi and Custer Counties.

The Mahoney House: Community Advocacy and Empowerment is a non-profit agency that provides assistance and supportive services to victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, dating violence and stalking. 

All services are free, confidential, and offered to all victims and survivors, non-offending adults and their children. We provide services without discrimination.

Did You Know?
1 in 4 women will be victims of severe violence by an intimate partner in their lifetimes; 1 in 7 men will be victims of severe violence by an intimate partner in their lifetimes; men who were exposed to domestic violence as children are three to four times more likely to perpetuate intimate partner violence as adults than men who did not experience domestic violence as children; and domestic violence is the third leading cause of homelessness for families. VOLUNTEERS​

Volunteers are an integral part of LCCI/The Mahoney House. In 2016, over 40 volunteers donated almost 700 hours in the following services:

Assisting in support groups  I  Office duties  I  Transportation
Court Escort  I  Fundraising  I  Shelter maintenance and lawn care
Assist with personal growth groups  I  Shelter maintenance  I  Cleaning
​
